Waku waku is a Japanese expression that describes
the feeling of excitement, anticipation and curiosity bubbling up inside you. That's exactly how stationary and cute art makes me feel (and how it makes so many of us feel!).
wakuwaku.days was born from my first trip to Japan. What started as my sister sending me on a mission to hunt down a Hobonichi planner quickly turned into something more. I fell in love with Japanese stationary - the details, the consideration and the magic of walking into a shop not knowing what treasures you might find.
Now that I'm back home, I find myself missing that feeling - the joy of discovery, the inspiration that comes from finding something small yet special. I want to feel it every day. And more importantly, I want to share it with you.
My happiness comes from creating cute art and turning it into a fun product. I hope your happiness comes from exploring this little shop, discovering something that makes your heart happy and maybe taking a piece of that joy home with you.
